The Normandy D-Day Beaches

June 19, 2014

In honor of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, I have posted a new weekend itinerary detailing my visit to the Normandy beaches last summer. Click here to be sent directly to the PDF itinerary.

If you have not already visited the Normandy beaches, I highly recommend at least a weekend in the region. We managed to see quite a lot in two days/three nights, though these were two very packed days of touring.

I have included in my itinerary a highly recommended bed & breakfast that was itself a part of 1944 world history, Château de Vouilly. I stayed here in 1999 and again 14 years later, and it was just a wonderful (if not better) on the second visit.

Do you have additional suggestions for a visit to the Normandy beaches?
