Home Exchanges and Pet Sitting

There are a number of websites out there that allow you to list your home not for rent, but to exchange for a stay at someone else’s home. This is a great option for a lower cost vacation and oftentimes a nearly free luxury vacation! Some allow you to stay at another’s home without offering up your own.

Trusted Housesitters combines photos of cool houses with photos of cute pets. How can it get any better than that?

While I’ve browsed through all of these sites, I haven’t actually booked any stays personally. I have friends who have used Home Exchange and while they had one negative experience, they had many other positive experiences.
